We've set up this site to promote our unique recordings of 'Four Strong Winds' and 'Shine Silently' made by Dave Burgess and The E-Street Band's Nils Lofgren. Our aim is to raise funds for Martin House Children's Hospice in Yorkshire and for Cotlands Children's Hospice Charity in South  Africa - and to let everyone know of the great work that childrens hospice charities do around the world. Every penny counts - Martin House alone costs £3.9 million each year to run and over 90% of this has to be raised by their own fund-raising. So your contribution is so valuable and all proceeds will go to these two charities and will help to make a difference.

daveandnils.com is also here to tell a great story. The inspiration behind the recordings and the very reason that brought us to the point of recording these songs. We as a family, share our story here about an inspirational young man who came to us for a short time only, but who  made a huge impact on our lives and on the lives of so many others who were a part of our journey.
